Our Water

Water is often called “our most precious resource” for a reason. The reason being that clean drinking water is scarcer now than at any other time in our history. Why are we running out? There are many reasons and varied opinions, but one thing is definitely true: We must take care of our water resources as though they were our own personal resources that will die if we do not nurture them. So what is MNR Water doing about it and where do we get our water?

The answer is simple. Although we also supply “Spring Water” to customers that request it, we get most of our water and pay for it through the local water utility, thereby doing our part to repay for what is used. But you can’t call it tap water because it simply just isn’t. MNR Water, although collected through public water

sources undergoes a rigorous filtering transformation to achieve that clean crisp taste. Filtering methods include, water softeners, quartz sand filtering, active carbon filtering, reverse osmosis, carbon filtering, UV-Filtering and an Ozone treatment. All this means that we are able to obtain repeatable great tasting “purified water” from one bottle to the next. Purified water: Purified water comes from either a protected underground source or from a municipal drinking-water supply (public tap water). It has been "demineralized" -- treated by one or more of several processes to remove dissolved solids. If the water comes from a municipal water source that uses chlorine as a disinfectant, the manufacturer may further treat the water to remove the chlorine.
Spring water: Spring water comes from a protected, underground water source from which the water flows to the surface on its own. It may be collected either at the surface spring or through a sanitary, protected hole drilled directly into the source feeding the spring. If the water is collected through a hole drilled into the source, it has to have exactly the same composition as the water in the surface spring.

Our varied locations serve as one of our goals to be as green as we can be. This includes not having to ship further than we have to in order to limit greenhouse gasses during transport. Our water is bottled locally and we only ship locally. As we grow, more bottling locations will be added to reduce our Carbon Footprint even more. What is your Carbon Footprint?
