ART SPECIFICATIONS
What is acceptable Art?
Macintosh compatible files please. We import your files into Quark.
Acceptable Formats:
Photoshop 300dpi jpgs
Illustrator CS1
InDesign CS1
PDFs
Outline all fonts to avoid conversion issues (no True Type fonts).
Sorry, but Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and CorelDraw files are NOT acceptable.
I do not have my original art, can you scan my art?
Yes, if art is clean and of sufficient size, we can scan it if flat. Not everything is usable however, the art department will let you know if your art will scan properly.
Will I see a proof?
Yes,. You will receive a proof by e-mail and/or by fax.
How long does it take to receive a proof?
You will usually receive a proof within three days of our receiving good usable art. If the art department needs to work on what you send us or if there are any changes to the original art, the time of the proof could be extended.
How many colors can you print on the label?
We print in full four-color process (CMYK) so you can basically submit any color of the rainbow.
Is there a set-up charge?
There is a very low set-up cost of $90.00, which includes four-color process art.
Can you print using PMS colors or metallic inks?
Yes. PMS inks are available at a cost of $235.00 with a limit of 4 spot colors per label. The cost is the same for metallic inks. Since we normally print four-color process (CMYK), the use of custom PMS inks will add 2 weeks to your overall production time.
